There is an enemy in La-Mulana called Water Leaper. This is a reference to the evil Welsh folklore creature of the same name, or “Llamhigyn y Dŵr” in the Welsh language.

The in-game description of the enemy is as follows:

Has the body of a frog but, instead of legs, has fins and a tail similar to those of flying fish. Hides underwater and jumps out to attack when prey draws near. Carnivorous, it prefers small mammals, but humans are not off the menu.
