One of the playable characters in Fur Fighters is a fire-breathing baby red dragon named Tweek.
With a resemblance to the Welsh Dragon, he is noted as having been born in the fictional Royston Vasey in Wales.
In the opening movie that highlights each of the main characters, when Tweek appears on the screen he is in front of a white and green background that creates a reference to the flag of Wales.
Noticeable in the PlayStation 2 version of the game, in Tweek’s home there is a toy train above the fireplace that references Ivor the Engine, the steam locomotive from the animated show of the same name that was set in Wales.
Tweek’s mother has the Welsh female name Gwyneth.
The Welsh name Bronwyn is given to one of Bungalow the kangaroo’s children. In some versions of the game, the child’s name is spelled Bromwyn. In Welsh naming conventions, the -wyn suffix is usually applied to males, although it isn’t clear if this character is male or female.
