Forge of the Fae is inspired by Celtic mythology and has particularly strong Irish roots. There are, however, a couple of Welsh references.

One of the cities in the game is called Talisein, named after the historical and mythical Welsh bard.

One of the books on Fiora’s bookshelf is written by Bleddyn ap Hughes, a name of distinct Welsh origin. Bleddyn derives from another Welsh word, blaidd, meaning “wolf”. Ap Hughes is a traditional Welsh patronymic name, meaning “son of Huw/Hugh”.
