In the lore of the Final Fantasy XIII games, the god Bhunivelze’s mother is called Mwynn. Her name comes from the Welsh word mwyn, meaning “kind, gentle”.
In Final Fantasy XIII-2, she is alluded to by a fragment found in the Void Beyond named “Mwynn’s Tenderness”.
Excalibur and Excalipoor are weapons that Gilgamesh can attack the player with in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Deriving from Arthurian legends, Excalibur is a powerful sword of King Arthur, with its name coming from the Welsh Caledfwlch, meaning “hard cleft”.
Throughout the Final Fantasy series, Excalipoor (sometimes going by other similar names) is often portrayed as a weaker or fake version of the superior Excalibur.
