The Caledfwlch Trooper is an enemy that comes in sword- and gun-wielding variants in Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius.
It takes its name from Caledfwlch, the original Welsh name of King Arthur’s legendary sword Excalibur. Caledfwlch’s name is a combination of the Welsh words caled, meaning “hard”, and bwlch, meaning “cleft”.
Various Excalibur (including Excalibur II) and Excalipoor weapons can be acquired. Throughout the Final Fantasy series, the Excalipoor sword (sometimes going by other similar names) is often portrayed as a weaker or fake version of the superior Excalibur.
The Rusty sword enables the use of the Excalibur ability.
One character with a name of Welsh origin includes Morgana.
