In ancient Britain, Boudicca (also known as Boudica, and in Welsh as Buddug) was the queen of the Celtic Iceni tribe and led a failed revolt against the Roman Empire after destroying several Roman-occupied cities and armies.
Locations from Wales can be founded as Celtic cities in the game, and include the following: Cardiff, Aberystwyth, Swansea, Caernarfon, Conwy, and Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.
Players can an unlock an achievement called “Longest. Name. Ever.” by founding the city of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. This is a reference to the real village in Wales called Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, which is the longest one-word place name in Europe and the second-longest in the world.
