Wales in Games recently spoke with Welsh actor Scott Arthur about all things Wales and video games.
Scott is well known for his role as Blaidd in Elden Ring, and he provided an insight into the process of voicing the popular wolfman, plus shared some humorous interactions with fans at conventions and thoughts on the upcoming Elden Ring movie.
As well as Blaidd, Scott talked about hitting high and low notes for the sea shanties of Abyssus, getting his Welsh accent onto a character for Crimson Desert, and gave many profound views on Welsh accents and the importance of Welsh authenticity in games.
On top of discussing how it feels to represent Wales in the acting world, there was time to learn about the video games Scott grew up playing, as well as a bit of Welsh football chatter. Scott will be taking part in the Joseph’s Smile charity football match, Wales vs. Europe, on May 30th at Swansea’s stadium, where many a prominent name from Welsh sports and other walks of life will be raising money in aid of childhood cancer awareness.
