The end of 2024 is here, so now is as good a time as any to truly thank everybody that has supported Wales in Games over the past year.
This website launched just over a year ago, and I’m proud of what I’ve managed to put together in this time.
I’m incredibly grateful for all of the views and positive comments about the website and the videos, the latter of which I have only been doing for a few months. To everyone following and sharing these videos on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, as well as those on Bluesky and X/Twitter, thank you!
I am especially appreciative of those that have personally dipped into their own pockets to support me at Patreon and Ko-fi. To know that there are people willing to donate money to this project is an incredible feeling, and I will keep working hard to ensure Wales in Games is worth your while.
I’ve opened a Discord server for anybody interested in video games and Wales (you don’t have to be Welsh!) to chat with each other. I’ve also interviewed a Welsh voice actor in the form of Tobias Weatherburn, to whom I’ll always be so thankful for his time and support, and I hope to push myself for more chats with actors, developers and others involved in video games as they relate to Wales going forward.
I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to my wife, who has not only been my biggest supporter, but has taken so much time to put her artistic talents to amazing effect by creating the logos, promotional art, video covers and a whole lot more for Wales in Games. Without her, this would not be what it is. I’m forever grateful.
I’m always open to feedback, so please don’t hesitate to comment or get in touch with what more you would like to see from me at Wales in Games, whether it’s videos, articles, or anything else.
I’m going to keep putting in the effort to make Wales in Games a great source of information for Welsh references and a way to promote Welsh representation in video games in 2025.
Thank you so much once again! Diolch yn fawr iawn!
